“Increasing Renewable Generation and Battery Storage in Power Systems”

Solar and wind-powered generation are rapidly increasing in Australasia. Battery storage and electric vehicles are also emerging. Distributed connection of these new technologies to the medium/low voltage network together with their intermittency and different characteristics, can cause power system security and quality issues. New techniques to model and mitigate the impacts of these game-changing technologies on the operation of power system are a key focus of this conference. It will bring together industry practitioners and researchers involved in planning, operation and optimisation of power system of the future.

Conference Topics include but not limited to following:

  • Power System Planning
  • Power System Operations
  • Smart Grid
  • Protection of Equipment and Networks
  • Battery Storage
  • Electric Vehicles
  • Management of Distributed PV
  • Power Quality
  • Electricity Markets
  • Asset Management
  • Condition Monitoring
  • Ageing of Network Assets
  • Remnant Life Prediction
  • Power Electronics
  • Demand Side Management
  • Microgrids
  • Wind Power Impacts on the Grid
  • Frequency Control
  • New Ancillary Services
  • Remote Power Systems with High Renewables and Battery Storage
  • Moving towards 100%  Renewables
