THE SCIENCE BEHIND THE TECHNOLOGY
Gore®Pyrad® fabric used in making ULTRA Light SLX switching garments is based on a 3-ply laminate consolidated in a single layer. It blocks heat flow during arc exposure and stops flame propagation by forming a carbonaceous char with the fabric so that heat transfer to the skin is reduced.
