DYNE Industries Pty. Ltd. was incorporated on 13 August 1976, and started designing and manufacturing small transformers and inductors early in 1977.

Over the years DYNE has taken over the work of a number of other transformer and power supply manufacturers as they shut down some or all of their production.

All DYNE’s manufacturing is based in our factory at 41 Barry Street, Bayswater, Victoria, 3153, Australia.

DYNE manufactures transformers and light electronic equipment including:

Transformers ranging from small toroids of 2.5 mm outside diameter to over 40 kVA single phase and over 80 kVA 3 phase both in enclosed and open construction.
Isolating transformers for power, audio and high frequency with up to 25 kVrms isolation mutually between all windings and core/earth.
Current and Voltage transformers.
High voltage transformers to over 8 kVrms.
DC Backup power supplies to over 48 V and over 40 A.
Regulated and unregulated DC power supplies.
Audio transformers, both single ended and push-pull, from microphone level to 2000 Watts.
High frequency transformers up to 500 kHz, mainly for switch mode power supply application.
Inductors for filtering and resonant circuits.
Electromagnet coils – both AC and DC.
Special coils from <1 gm to >250 kg using 0.030 mm diameter insulated copper wire to copper strip with a cross section of 20 x 4 mm and to copper foil over 300 mm wide.
DC Backup power supplies to over 1000 Watts.
Vacuum and open-air varnishing and epoxy encapsulation.
DYNE manufactures transformers requiring performance and isolation to IEC60601
- for electrical and electronic medical equipment.
- for isolation of medical areas in hospitals and surgeries.
- triaxial antenna coils for equipment used in heart related surgery.

Transformer and Allied Industries

Our customers include various electrical and electronic manufacturers and/or installers in Australia and overseas and various Australian Government departments including CSIRO and ANSTO, Defence Suppliers, various Water Supply agencies, and Electricity Generators.

DYNE also imports and distributes components for the transformer and allied industries.

DYNE values its relationship with all its stakeholders. This is shown by:
- Low staff turnover. Most of the staff have more than 20 years of service.
- This is achieved by:
  - Supporting all staff with issues both within the company and in their personal life.
  - Providing a safe and comfortable work environment.
  - Paying reasonably above award remuneration.
Customer loyalty. Many of our customer have been with us since the 1980’s or 1990’s and purchasing staff have introduced DYNE to their new employer when they changed their employment.
Loyalty to Supplier. DYNE does not seek different suppliers only on the basis of price. We consider all aspects of the supply chain including reliability of supply, quality of both components and service, source of components – using Australian made components where practical, and environmental issues as well as price. This does mean that we are not necessarily the cheapest in the market but aim to be the most reliable.
