Teleprotection System that Activates in Under 4 Milliseconds

The newly released Dewar Electronics DM1400 series teleprotection systems are now the fastest in the market, with end-to-end fault trip activation times under 4 milliseconds. The DM1400 communicates with the remote unit using either IEEE C37.94 or G703 protocol and can be used in a point-to-point configuration or via a multiplexer.

In addition, the DM1400-D offers a unique, fully redundant mode of operation where all trips are transmitted and received over two independent C37.94 compliant fibre optic channels. The DM1400-D can also be ordered with redundant power supplies which further contributes to fail proof operation of the teleprotection system.

The DM1400 series offers an easy and flexible system configuration. All faults and other critical events are time-stamped and stored in non-volatile memory for further analysis.

Fully redundant protection system

A fast and fully redundant protection system such as the DM1400-D are a critical part of electrical network management, directly impacting on all areas of electrical utilities business such as power generation, transmission and distribution. The DM1400-D can help you to selectively isolate faults in HV lines, transformers, reactors and other parts of electrical plants.

If providing secure and uninterrupted supply of electricity is important for your business, you need Dewar’s teleprotection systems to be in charge of monitoring the condition of the electrical power grid infrastructure, effectively preventing long term outages in the service by isolating faults and averting any further damage to critical parts of the grid.
